From a small Island to the Big Land of Australia
Daphne is a French singer from New Caledonia now living on the Gold Coast. After working with a few different award-winning bands and artists in her home country she moved to Australia to study and decided to pursue her musical career on the Gold Coast. Daphne was part of the Island of Sin festival and Rhythm’n’Rhyme RNB festival for a year and a half before moving on to singing in various local bars and restaurant as well as performing for corporates and weddings. She also recently started working for showgirl Marissa Burgess, performing French Cabaret shows for private and public events such as the Bonjour French Festival.
Despite her rock’n’roll roots, Daphne has a very versatile repertoire and enjoys singing every genre of music. She loves to cover iconic songs but is also working on her own music. Daphne released her first original song in 2014 and recorded an EP with her band “The Natalie Rose Project” based in New Caledonia in 2015. She is currently working on her solo EP with local producers and musicians while continuing to write lyrics, sing, and collaborate with Australians and overseas DJ’s and music producers.
